Despite all the things I hate about living in the dorms, there are major advantages, like not having to carefully hide all the knitted Christmas gifts-in-progress for my family. The only thing I have to do is be careful who sees what when I go home for Thanksgiving next weekend, so I've switched over to working on my Dad's cycling socks so that I can work on my Grandma's socks next weekend while I'm at home (when she's not there, obviously).

I'm doing the heel flap/turned heel thing for the second time. I didn't like the way it turned out
last time, but some trial-and-error yielded a technique that makes a nice, smooth heel turn.

White socks on tiny needles. That would just kill me.
