I finally settled on 3x1 ribbing over 72 stitches. I always knit pretty tight, but my gauge is even smaller than usual this time, hence the larger number of stitches. Even though they're taking a while, I'm absolutely loving them. This is the first time I've done a heel flap with the slipped stitches, and a proper turned heel. I've fudged the turned heels I've done in the past and ended up with squarish heels, but doing it the right way looks so much better. I'm glad I took the time to figure it out.
