That's what I'm doing right now, with the teddy bear I'm knitting. My friend's birthday was on January 18, but luckily her birthday party isn't until this Saturday. I still have time to finish. It's not a hard pattern, but I'm getting really tired of it.
The first time I knit it was two years ago as a Christmas present for my best friend. I used a whole bunch of Lion Brand Thick-n-quick chenille. The pattern is Australian, and I didn't pay attention to the measurement of the recomended needles. Turns out size 11 needles in Australia are much, much smaller than U.S. size 11s. As a result, the 8 to 10 inch tall bear turned out closer to 2 feet. Luckily, he really liked it.
The next one was for my boyfriend, for Valentine's Day last year. I went down to size 6 needles and used some sort of cheapy acrylic boucle chenille type stuff. Bad call, the thing is ridiculously pilly now.
I got so attacted to it before I gave it to him that immediately afterwards, I started knitting another for myself in Rowan Cashsoft DK. The knitting is all done but seaming it is so tedious, it's still sitting half-assembled in a bag. I really need to get around to finishing it.
And now, Kat wanted one for her birthday. I decided to knit the body, arms, legs, and ears in the round to eliminate as much of the seaming as possible. I'm also knitting it on size 1 DPNs, so it's going to be tiny, but cute. I'm thinking of knitting it a little scarf in some of the scraps of sock yarn I have lying around.
So I guess I don't mind this pattern too much, but I'm getting tired of it. So next time someone wants a knitted teddy bear, I'm going to have to get a different pattern.

I'm sorry you're bored! It is *really* cute though... so cute that I'm going to have to ask - where is the pattern from - where can I get it?
Thanks!
Ruth
I know how you feel. I knit three regular size bears and then 2 mini-ones, and it definatly gets boring, though mine never turned out as cute as your did!
